The most significant recent change is that the University of Oxford is replacing the MAT with the TMUA for Mathematics and Computer Science from 2027 entry — the MAT's final year was 2026 entry, sat in October 2025. From autumn 2026 (2027 entry) onwards, Oxford Maths and CS applicants sit the same TMUA as Cambridge candidates. Oxford Physics and Engineering use the separate ESAT, not the TMUA, so it is worth checking your exact course before assuming which test applies.
Beyond Oxbridge, Warwick requires the TMUA for Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science and Economics; Durham considers it for Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science applicants as supporting evidence alongside predicted grades; and Cardiff and Lancaster also accept or recommend scores for eligible mathematics courses.
