The London Borough of Bexley's own admissions page states that Quest Assessments is the Bexley Selection Test provider, and that a total of 800 places will be available across these schools in September 2027. Achieving the selective standard is not enough on its own: the same page states a child is only guaranteed priority consideration if they are among the top 180 highest scorers. For the 2025 test cycle, the council recorded 5,866 children sitting the test and 2,070 reaching the selective standard, against those 800 places.

Beyond the four grammar schools, Bexley has a substantial set of non-selective secondary schools carrying their own GCSE and, in most cases, A-level provision through school sixth forms. We checked each school named below against the Department for Education's Get Information about Schools register before naming it.
Welling School, Blackfen School for Girls, Harris Academy Falconwood and Trinity Church of England School, Belvedere are each open, non-selective and carry their own sixth form. St Catherine's Catholic School is open but does not have a sixth form. Two of the borough's schools have changed their names more recently than some published guides reflect, and it is worth knowing the current ones: the school long known as Bexleyheath Academy now appears on the register as Lift Bexleyheath, and the school long known as Erith School reopened as Leigh Academy Bexley on 1 June 2023. Both are summarised in the table below.

The rename at Lift Bexleyheath was carried out by the Lift Schools trust; the DfE reference number that identifies the school on the register is unchanged, only the trading name has moved with the trust's own rebrand. Leigh Academy Bexley's change is a Fresh Start rather than a rename: the Department for Education's register shows a new establishment record opening on 1 June 2023, under the Leigh Academies Trust, on the same Avenue Road site in Erith that the previous school occupied.

A Bexley school table quoting a current Progress 8 figure for those years is not drawing on a published DfE measure.
