This page covers one school. Our London independent schools hub sets out the other London schools, and our 11+ from overseas hub covers state grammar schools. The school’s rules below are quoted from its own pages and linked, read on 10 October 2026.
Requirements for Registration: citizenship, the right to remain and a time-limited visa
Two of the school’s own documents say whom it can admit. The Registration for 11+ page, which serves Year 7 entry in September 2027, has a section headed Requirements for Registration. The Admissions Policy, last reviewed in May 2026 and approved on 2 June 2026, has section 11, headed Overseas Applicants. Each wording is given below as the school prints it.

Registration for 11+, Requirements for Registration (Year 7, September 2027 entry)
Which wording applies to your child’s passport and residence status? That is a question for the Admissions Team, in writing. The questions table further down has a version to send.
The Registration page also sets out what to have ready and who may complete the form, and the Joining at 11+ page and the Admissions Policy add the year-group and English requirements:
The conversions below read the school’s midday as UK time. UK clocks stay on British Summer Time (UTC+1) until they go back at 2am on Sunday 25 October 2026, according to GOV.UK, so midday on Monday 12 October 2026, if this is UK time, is 11:00 UTC.

Decisions and interview schedules follow on Tuesday 8 December 2026 and Tuesday 15 December 2026, as the table above shows. Where a child’s current school is outside the UK, how the request reaches the Head and in what form the reply is wanted are questions for admissions. The questions table below has a version to send.

★★★★★
Confidence and progress
My son was low in confidence after COVID and the gaps in learning were building up. Using this service helped plug those gaps, rebuild confidence, and improve his ability to learn properly again.

Amazing tutors!
We arranged maths and English tuition ahead of GCSEs and both tutors were brilliant. My daughter's grades improved, and by results day she achieved two grades higher than in her mock exams.
Which timing applies to your child, and what the school needs from you by then, is a question to put to the Admissions Team in writing. Keep the reply.
Tuition can be one to one, and families outside the UK can take the whole programme online. Book a free consultation to talk through the schools, the dates above and how the programme runs online.
Questions to put to the Admissions Team in writing about your own case
The Joining at 11+ page lists the Admissions Team’s email address as admissions@latymer-upper.org. Each row below pairs a situation a family abroad may recognise with a question to send and the place the school words the rule. Replace the square brackets with your own details and keep the replies.
Your situation
The question to send
Where the school words it
Your child holds a time-limited visa
Our child holds a visa valid until [date]. Will you accept our registration, what proof of the right to remain for the duration of study do you need at offer stage, and by what date?
Your child’s passport is neither British nor Irish
Our child holds a [country] passport. Does “British or Irish citizens” from your Registration page or “UK or EU Nationals” from section 11 of your Admissions Policy apply to us, and what will you ask to see at registration and again at offer stage?
Our child was born on [date] and is in [year or grade] at [school]. Does that count as Year 6 at the time of the entrance exam for Year 7 entry in September 2027, and does either exception in section 2.1 of your Admissions Policy apply to us?
You will write to our child’s current school on Monday 7 December 2026. Which address and format do you use, by what date do you need the Head’s reference, and who at the school should we tell to expect it?
Our child is also registered for [school]’s exam on Wednesday 2 December 2026. How should we tell both schools, and which Latymer session can you offer?
Learning support paperwork comes from outside the UK
Our child’s report was written by a practitioner in [country]. Does it meet your wording on qualified practitioners in the appropriate field, and can we send details of a pending assessment by midday on Monday 12 October 2026?
Your Joining at 11+ page gives one timing for accepting an offer in its prose and another in its key dates table. Which date applies to us, and what do you need from us by then?

That is 15:00 in Dubai (UTC+4), 14:00 in Doha (UTC+3) and 19:00 in Hong Kong (UTC+8), all on Monday 12 October 2026. Ask admissions to confirm that the midday is UK time.
