Test Format and Structure

The ESAT consists of five modules: Mathematics 1 (compulsory for all), Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics 2. You sit Mathematics 1 plus two additional modules matched to your course. How International Curricula Map to the ESAT

IB students: HL Physics and HL Chemistry cover most ESAT content but have gaps in Newtonian mechanics depth and certain atomic physics areas. HL Maths AA covers Mathematics 1 well; Mathematics 2 extends into vectors and calculus applications slightly beyond the HL syllabus.
